Within this clarification text:
- Personal Data: Any information relating to an identified or identifiable natural person.
- KVKK: Turkish Personal Data Protection Law No. 6698.
- Data Controller: The legal entity determining the purposes and means of processing personal data.
- Data Processor: A real or legal person processing personal data on behalf of the Data Controller.
- Explicit Consent: Consent given freely, based on information, and related to a specific subject.
- Special Categories of Personal Data: Data defined under Article 6 of KVKK.
- Processing: Any operation performed on personal data such as collection, storage, transfer, deletion, etc.
2. Purpose and Scope of This Notice
This Personal Data Protection Notice has been prepared by Ete Organizasyon Ticaret Limited Şirketi, operating under the TurkeyEvent brand, in its capacity as Data Controller, in order to inform customers, potential customers, members, visitors, business partners, suppliers, and other related third parties regarding the processing of personal data.
This notice covers all personal data processed fully or partially by automated means or by non-automated means forming part of a data recording system.
3. Purposes of Processing Personal Data
Your personal data is processed in accordance with Articles 4, 5, and 6 of KVKK for the following purposes:
- Managing TurkeyEvent membership and user accounts,
- Providing event organization, quotation, reservation, and service processes,
- Conducting customer communication and support operations,
- Managing payment, invoicing, and refund processes,
- Fulfilling legal obligations,
- Ensuring system security, fraud prevention, and record keeping,
- Improving service quality and conducting analytics,
- Carrying out marketing, promotional, and informational activities only with explicit consent.
4. Transfer of Personal Data
Your personal data may be transferred, in compliance with Articles 8 and 9 of KVKK, to:
- Business partners and suppliers for service delivery,
- Service providers offering technical infrastructure, software, hosting, payment, accounting, and communication services,
- Legal, financial, and auditing consultants,
- Authorized public institutions and organizations as required by law.
Transfers abroad are carried out only if the conditions stipulated under KVKK are fulfilled.
5. Method and Legal Basis for Data Collection
Personal data is collected via the website, membership forms, quotation requests, communication channels (email, phone), social media platforms, cookies, contracts, and similar means.
Legal grounds include:
- Necessity for contract formation or performance,
- Compliance with legal obligations,
- Legitimate interests of the Data Controller,
- Explicit consent, where required.
6. Retention and Deletion
Personal data is retained for the periods stipulated by applicable legislation. If no specific period is prescribed, data is retained for as long as necessary for the purpose of processing and then deleted, destroyed, or anonymized.
7. Rights of the Data Subject
Pursuant to Article 11 of KVKK, data subjects have the right to:
- Learn whether personal data is processed,
- Request information if processed,
- Learn the purpose of processing and whether data is used accordingly,
- Know third parties to whom data is transferred,
- Request correction, deletion, or destruction,
- Object to results arising from automated processing,
- Claim compensation in case of unlawful processing.
